Following successfully completing the Eastern and Central European expansion and the activation of distributors in Belgium, Germany and France as part of its Western Europe growth, Ford Trucks has now entered Austria, a strategical heavy commercial vehicle market in Europe, continuing its strategic expansion across the continent.
Ford Trucks combines more than 60 years of history and expertise in manufacturing trucks with product development capabilities. Following back-to-back launches of distributorships through Western Europe, Ford’s only heavy commercial vehicle global brand Ford Trucks rides high in Europe with the 2019 International Truck of the Year (IToY) awarded F-MAX and goes further with the second phase of its expansion plans. Carrying on with the success of distributors in Spain, Portugal, Italy, Belgium and Luxembourg and finally Europe’s biggest markets, Germany and France last year. Ford Trucks appoints/announces F-Trucks Austria GmbH as the official distributor in Austria.
Changing the dimensions of global competition in the heavy commercial sector, following the prestigious “2019 International Truck of the Year” (IToY) award at IAA Hannover in 2019, F-MAX announced its strong footsteps in Austria as the winner of the “Truck of the Year” award by heavy commercial journalists in the same year as well.
Ford Trucks Vice President Serhan Turfan noted that “As an innovative brand that has the purpose of “to be the road mate that cares about customers and makes their businesses thrive” Ford Trucks introduces new services that make an impact on the global markets and the global pandemic has not stopped Ford Trucks from continuing to launch its operations in key markets as part of the company’s global expansion:
“Building on our success in our current markets, our priority is to set up a strong Ford Trucks footprint in Europe with our solid product portfolio, strong dealer network, and wide service coverage with high competency. We aim to create value with the most efficient transportation solutions and our competitive positioning in terms of “total cost of ownership”. We are entering northern European countries by 2024 and our growth will continue at the same pace. We aim to be in 55 markets by 2025. We are very pleased to partner with KLV Rent and Hama Austria to launch our trucks for the first time in Austria I am certain, F-Trucks Austria GmbH will represent our brand in the best possible way to Austrian customers”
Targeting all of Europe
Turfan added that being in more European markets would contribute greatly to the global expansion of Ford Trucks: “We see major opportunities for Ford Trucks in Austria, which is located at the intersection point of EU transportation routes. We will continue with our expansion in Europe, which holds important potential for our growth strategy.”
Ford Trucks making strides towards a sustainable future in the heavy commercial segment
